Ministers and Staff
All members of the church have the opportunity to minister to the congregation and to the community. Some serve in a full time capacity. This page has information about the full time ministers and staff.

Kirk Cowell - Minister of Preaching
Kirk holds a Master of Divinity degree from Abilene Christian University, and is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree. He has worked with several congregations in Texas and New Mexico before moving here to join us in January, 2008. In addition to his ongoing congregational ministry, Kirk's interest in worldwide missions and culture has taken him to various sites across southeast Asia, Mexico and Peru. His articles have been published in The Encyclopedia of the Stone-Campbell Movement and The Reformation of the Restoration Movement.
Kirk is married to the former Sandra Lynn Long. They have one daughter, Aletheia.

Don Utley - Minister of Education and Worship
Don Utley serves as the Associate Minister focusing much of his ministry on worship, children’s ministry, adult education and outreach.
Don holds a degree in Biblical Studies from the Institute for Christian Studies in Austin (presently known as the Austin Graduate School of Religion). He has also pursued graduate education at Abilene Christian University and the Harding Graduate School of Religion.
Before entering the ministry, Don was a professional musician who served in the Army Band in Washington, D.C. and performed as a trombone soloist throughout the country. He now uses his musical ability while worship leading, conducting choruses for adults and children, and writing hymns.
Don is married to his wife Betty and he has two adult children and four grandchildren. Don is especially proud of his children Kathryn Ross and David Utley, both graduates of ACU, who have collaborated on a creative book to enhance speech therapy.

Pam Dolejs - Secretary
Pam Dolejs has been our secretary since 1998. In preparation for her profession, she attended Augusta Technical College, graduating with a secretarial diploma. Pam loves working with the Cole Mill Road church and has never thought of her position as a "job" but as a blessing to herself and as an opportunity to use her skills for God’s work. She considers the congregation to be part of her extended family. Pam and her husband Mark have two children, Ian and Abby, and are kept busy with the children's school and extra-curricular activities. Pam and her family are active members of Grey Stone Baptist Church.
